Girls Varsity Soccer
Prior to Tryouts all players must take a sports physical and give to Ms. Petruzzi in the Athletic Trainers room.
All players must take the concussion Education course which is available at the FCPS athletics website.
A parent must also take the concussion Education course.
You must fill out the Emergency Care Card and hand to one of the soccer coaches.
You must sign in with the Athletic Trainers Office with your intention to attend tryouts.
Please hand in your physical and take the concussion education by Feb. 14, and make sure one of the soccer coaches has your Emergency care card prior to tryouts to be eligible.
Girls soccer tryouts will be held Monday February 18- Friday February 22 from 3:15-5:30 on the Stadium Field. Contact Coach Paul Robson with any questions email@example.com or 571-233-3476.
Fitness Week Monday February 11-Thursday February 14 from 3:30-4:30 on the Aux Field. Bring running shoes, turf shoes or cleats, water and appropriate clothing. All weather cancellations will be made on our Hornet Soccer Offseason 19 Remind. Enter 81010 and text @g9dkaf9 to join.
Herndon High School Girls Soccer Rules and Philosophy
All student athletes must remain eligible under the VHSL rules.
-Enrolled in 5 classes
-Passed 5 Semester grades
-Meets age rule

All student athletes must read and sign the FCPS participation policy, have an updated physical and both student and parent must complete concussion education.
All student athletes will be responsible for and required to return in good condition all uniform pieces given to them.
All members of the team are expected to attend all practices, games and team events. It must be communicated to the coach when a player will miss any team practice, game or event.
Practices will be held 3:30-5 every weekday except game days unless otherwise notified. Any variation to the schedule will be posted on our team’s page on the schools athletic website. www.herndonathletics.org
We will also use the remind app. All players are required to join, and all parents are welcome.
In case of inclement weather practices may be moved into the gym.

We would prefer that the student athlete be responsible for communicating directly with the coaching staff with any questions or concerns. If a parent would like to talk with a coach please send an email to arrange a specific time. Coaches are not permitted to discuss any issues with parents after a game.
