This past weekend the Herndon Hornets placed 5th in both the boys and girls at the Liberty District Track and Field Championships held at Wakefield HS.

The top 6 placers in each event score - 10 points for first, 8 points for second, 6 points for 3rd, 4 points for 4th, 2 points  for 5th and 1 point for 6th.

Our Liberty District Champions are:

-Jasmine Robinson - Girls Shot Put 

-Gillain Bushee - 1600 m run (Meet record time of 4:48.41)

-Denzel Webb - 800 m run. 

-Haakon Faeste - Pole Vault - 12 feet 

-Boys 4 x 400 relay ( Eli Haynes, Carson Hulka, Denzel Webb, Cameron Elliott).

-B. 110 Hurdle - 6th place / Blake Johnson

-G. 1600 m - 6th place / Meghan Sullivan

-G. 300 Hurdle - 5th place / Evelyn Cherry

-B. 3200 m - 3rd place / Andrew Janetsky

-B. Shot Put -  5th place - Conall Castagno  & 6th place - Luke Jacobs

The Region 6 D Track and Field Championships will be held at South Lakes High School on May 25 and 26.
