Ladies,  The season starts on November 11th at 5PM in the gymnastics room at Chantilly HS.  Please have all your paper work completed. FCPS requires physical to be turned into the ...

Below is important information regarding tryouts and the 2019-2020 basketball season.   Tryouts All tryout practices will be held at Herndon High School. Student-athletes should wear appropriate athletic clothing and footwear.  Please let us know if you have questions regarding which team to tryout for.   Team Date Time Location Freshmen Monday, 11/11 3:00-5:00PM Main Gym Tuesday, 11/12 3:00-5:00PM Main Gym Wednesday, 11/13 3:00-5:00PM Main Gym JV Monday, 11/11 7:30-9:30PM AUX Gym Tuesday, 11/12 7:30-9:30PM AUX Gym Wednesday, 11/13 7:30-9:30PM AUX Gym Varsity Monday, 11/11 5:00-7:00PM Main Gym Tuesday, 11/12 5:00-7:00PM Main Gym Wednesday, 11/13 5:00-7:00PM Main Gym Student-athletes must give the head coach an Emergency Care Card, and Lisa Petruzzi a Physical Examination Form and a signed Concussion Education Certificate in order to participate in tryouts. This should be done in advance of tryouts if at all possible. See  Paperwork  section below for more information.   Practice Practice times and locations will vary for each team. Due to renovation and limited space at HHS, we will occasionally use Herndon United Methodist Church (directly across from the high school) and Herndon Middle School throughout the season. We will update you about the season practice schedule as soon as teams are selected.   Paperwork Attached is important paperwork that must be completed before any athlete can participate in tryouts. Please do your best to satisfy these requirements in advance of the first tryout date.   Emergency Care Card  - Yes, you have filled this out before at the start of the school year for the school’s records. However, each coach for each season needs this form. (It is easier if you make a copy at the beginning of the year and save it to your desktop to refrain from filling this form out multiple times a year). If you played a fall sport, we still need a copy for our records.    Physical Examination Form  - Please make sure you have a current physical on file with Mrs. Petruzzi (HHS athletic trainer). Once it’s completed and signed by all parties, turn it in to Mrs. Petruzzi in the Athletic Training Room. It is best practice to do this sooner rather than later. You can not participate until this is officially turned in. If you played a fall sport at HHS, you do not need to do this again. I will send out a reminder email a week before tryouts to anyone that does not have an active physical on file.   Concussion Education  - All athletes must also complete Concussion Education. It is an online presentation, but you must print and sign the last page. If a printer is not accessible to you, please “print to pdf” and email it to me and I will print it for you. Students should bring their physicals and concussion ed forms to Mrs. Petruzzi in the Athletic Training Clinic. I have attached the pdf in this email.   Head Coaches Level Name Email Location Varsity Kevin Quinlan kmquinlan@fcps.edu ...
